My expectations came true. Because I could learn how to write an essay in English with English format. My weaknesses become better now by classmates's and teacher's advices . They helped me so much. If I could not understand exactly, they helped me everytime. Sometimes it differed how to give experession to my thoughts in English or Japanese. So I usually have to translate from Japanese into English or From English into Japanese. Because writing in Japanese and English are different ways to express and to think. Sometimes it was hard for me. But I went through to write essays, then I used to write and need in English. So now, my English skills improved than before.

Argumentative Essay: Should English class be started at the Elementary school in Japan?

In the Japanese elementary school in Japan, there is an English class about once a month. The municipality dispatched ALT in each elementary school to let children experience English ever since they were small. However, it is impossible that they become bilinguals like the Filipinos by attending classes at this level. In a public opinion poll, about 50% are opposed to the English requisite in the elementary school. At first, it is necessary to let imppeccable Japanese education. Although English is one of languages which is used all over the world, we should completely learn Japanese, and then we learn the foreign language, because it is increasing Japanese people who can not speak decent Japanese by the television and comics, Japanese is essential when you live in Japan and we have some problems about the method of English education.

First, Japanese people should acpuire the comunication skill. Japanese national language skill is declining. It is becoming worse due to the vulgar TV progrems, comics and the cellphone(Is English education necessary in elementary school?/2008). Japanese people can not talk with neihbors and strangers even adults. Hence, we should educate them by our native language, and we should let someone comprehend the message we are frying to convey through our native language. We should also argue, expand our opinion and understand each other. It is necessary for mutual understanding.

Japanese language is essential when you live in Japan. There is no provision starting that Japanese is prescribed for official language/national language in law. Precisely, the laws are written down in Japanes. It is considered to be a natural premise that Japanese is the only official language/national language. In addition, only Japanese is used for all, not only the letter of the law but also the government documents and Japanese is taught as a national language by the school education. So that is why Japanese language is essential when you live in Japan.

Third, there are problems about English education in Japan. English education begins at 13 years of age as compulsory educaion in Japan. The Japanese government thinks that students should begin English education earlier from this age for two years. How much English can they acquire if they only attend a class once a week sincethey were 11? Even now, we do not have any place where we can speak in English. If the Japanese government begins to study English from 11 years old, it would not work for them. Japanese people's English speaking skill is inferior than that of people from other countries. In fact, there are many people who can speak English in situation where English is neessary. So people are able to speak and learn English and other languages when they are in the environment where there is a need of the natioal language(Chiba, 2008).

Therefore, I think that the Japanese government should set a good environment to learn English. It is necessary for learning English because if they do not use it, it would not be fully acquired. So I think that it is meaningless to have an English class in elementary school because learning language earlier for two years from 13 years old, and there is no other purpose like becoming a bilingual in Japanese and English. So that is why Ithink that the Japanese should not take English classes at the elementary school in Japan.

Definition Essay: Beauty

My definition of beauty is felt in our heart in many ways. Sometimes people see beauty as that of an actress' appearance and thinking, like Audrey Hepburn. She pursued her beauty; she returned her love for poor children later in her life. In this writing, I would like to empharize my four major points. Beauty can be defined in many ways; it is a quality that is longed for, appreciated and felt in the heart.

The definition of beauty differs with the person's age, culture and way of thinking. What may be so beautiful for me may not be so bautiful for the others. For example; for Japanese people, white skinned people are beautiful, while for Americans, brown skinned people are beautiful. Everybody yearns for beauty. It is natural that we long for beauty because we are all human beings. Beauty, as defined phisically; talks about the face, skin and body figure. For most Japanese, we have te saying that, " The heart of the person natters more than physical appearance". For example, being grateful and respectful to your family and friends is a sign of beauty for us. That is beauty of the heart-one may not be so handsome and so tall, but he has a good charactor.

We appreciate beauty i nthe works of art, paintings, buildings and music. For exampl; the excellent sculpture, "Venus de Milo", the famous "Monna Lisa" 's smile, the different colors of flowers like rose, the great architechures of church buildings like "The Sagrada familia" in Spain. We are also inspired by Mozart's classical music; those artists have differernt nationalities, different ages and different thinkings, but we appeciate the beauty of their works up to now. Artists express their mind through their works. When we see their works, we find beauty in them. Their works help us gt connected to their emotion. For example, when people more closer to a painting by Vincent Van Gogh, people find his painting mre beautiful.

"Beauty is nt always seen but is felt i the heart". This is quoted by Helen Keller. She was born blind and deaf and yet she found beauty in her experiences. She has a positive outlook about life. She did not complain and she became a great motivator during her times.

Therefore, in my opinion, beauty is seen outside and inside and it is indeed felt in the heart. It is something that everyone can experience and enjoy like Audrey Hepburn and Helen Keller. And the person who have both beauties is the one who shines.

Cause and Effect Essay: Causes of the Child Abuse

Child Abuse indicates that a custodian is doing physical abuse, sexual abuse, reglecting ( the child care abandoument, the custody abandonment ) and phychological abuse. Nowadays, child abuse is increasing as one of own social problems. The purpose of this essay is to classify the causes and effects about Child Abuse.

First is parent's apiritual condition. It is from stress due to all of the anxieties and problems, that parents have to develop because they are not capable enough to raise a child. They feel jealousy and hatred for an un wanted son/daughter.
Second, parents may have also undergone the handship about the child abuse because they experienced the same thing. When the person becomes a parent, he/she would remember the memories which he/she went through when he/she was still akid. For example, the person beats his/her child. They are unconscious of their bad behavior, and they think that it is the right or best thing to do because ofhis/her experiences. It is very scary. He/She can not control his/her own stress and unforgettable expriences of his/her childhood. And when he/she gets upset, he/she hurts the people around him/her for giving in to their own ager. The child abuse happens in such a situation. And when the child grows up and becomes a parent, he/she also will abuse his/her own child. There is not an end unless we cut this chain off somewhere. There fore, the cooperation and the help of the partner is necessary. There are many cases in which there are no clear understanding about the dos' and do not in having a child. It is also the reason why child abuse happens. When your feelings were not controlled by yourself, it is a must that the partner will help the cildren.

I think that it should not be accepted by the partner or anyone else. Because in that case, he/she will be freed from their pain for the first time. And I think that he/she can do it again. This problem can happen even with the possibility of being low of love. As a precaution, people who abuse children needs to meet a partner who understands proper child care. I think we should reflect and consult with our partners or friends about how we raise a child by ourselves before we decide to have one of ourselves. Do not forget the emotion you feel when a child was born. I think that the actions that the adult should take must not contact in a groundless manner on adult's own authority. I think that it is important to calm oneself and consult with somebody before being driven into a corner to abuse.

Comparison and contrast Essay: Living with Family versaus Living by Myself

People who live far from the university and the work place, would ponder on whether they should live with their family or live by themselves. If they choose to live at home or by themselves, they may encounter many problems such as, that cost, and the security, among others. and there also the advantages and the disadvantages. The purpose of this essay is to contrast and compare the money, the safty and the independence of living with family and living by myself.

First, I am going to discuss the advantage of living with a parents, I was able to save money which I earned from my part time jobs because I did not need to pay for expenses such as the rent. when I think about safety, living with my family ensures me a safer environment rather themliving by myself because of the fact I was not alone sleeping makes me fee lrelieved. Mentally, I nestle up to my parents, because I can talk to them when I am worried. I do not cook my own food when I am at home since my mother alreadysupplied us with delicious food which she cooked. Housework was not a big issue because we have helpers to do those taskes. Everytime I am sick, my parents would nurse me, so that I would not feel lonely. I already nestle up to my parents anytime, which made me dependent on them. When I lived at time, the rhythm of life is decided. Hence, I have no freedom to do everthing I want.

On the other hand, living by myself made me independent. I have high spending money since my parents are there to support me financially. I have been spending more on my rentals, everyday expenses and the like. Since I live alone, I am always worried about my safety and the anxiety which my parents have to deal with every single day. Further more, living by myself gave me freedom to do whatever I want; there is no inervention from my parents. I can do my hobbies whenever I want. I do not feel restricted to invite my friends to my place. But I get to pay the price at housework because I have to do everything by myself. Living alone is a good start to become it taught me how to be independent which made me the importance of my parents' worth and money. There are some disadvantages, but I can get special experiences living by myself.

Static-descriptive Essay: I Have Felt the Friendship

There are school festival in any university and country. There are also festival in Japan and the Philippines. Nowadays, we can not come to school easily. Because of the security. But in the school festivals, it happens that people who usually do not come to school can heve fun. This essay exposes the school festival exprience with my friends in the Philippines.

The other day, there was an Animo fair in De La Salle university. Culture 2010 was also one of the events in an Animo fair. The International center takes good care of all exchange students and regular students in De La Salle University who come from other sountries. They offered us to perform in this event. There are three Japanese exchange students this term. They offered us to perform traditional Japanese art. We decided to perform a Japanese dance. We prepared for it for two days; we made a hat with paper flowrs needed for the dance, and we went to the Japanese embassy to rent Japanese clothes. During that time, we enjoyed going out to buy the need ed materials and creating the performance and the hats. On that day, we wore Yukata which is a Japanese traditional clothing worn in the summer, most especially during the summer festival(Natsu Matsuri) which was also international event. Indians, Koreans, Chinese, Indonesians, Taiwanese, Africans, Combodians, Iranians and Japanese performed in this event. They also performed their own traditional dances wearing their traditional clothes. It was the first time that I took part in a festival in the Philippines. I enjoyed those events very much, because we could see traditional arts. It is seldom to see such a thing. I was excited when I saw them. And I was excited when we were performing , because we prasticed until midnight for it. So we were mervous that people would make fun of our performance, and we were afraid of maiking mistakes. But we made up our mpind that we also had fun about our performance. My frineds cheered for us, and we waited for our turn. They are not La Salle students, but they came to De La Salle University for us. When we were strating our dance, they came and sat at the front of the theater to watch closely. During our performance, they cheered for us and took pictures of our dance. During that time, I have felt their friendship between us, and I am very lucky to be their friend.

Ithought we do not care about our nationalities that time because we can be friwnds without nationality. I feel grateful for my friends to be my friend.

Process Essay: How to occur a Typhoon

Typhoons occur at sea near the ecuator. It is easy for convections to occur at tropical zones where water tempereture of sea level is hot. the cumulnimbuses occur by convections. They build a whirl; the atomospheric pressure comes down nearby the center of whirl, and it becomes a tropical depression which exceeds the wind velocity 17m/s. This is that we call ''a typhoon'' forms.

The delopment term, occur before a typhoon. A typhoon is developed by stream, sapplied water level at a hot temperature. The centeral atmospheric pressure rapidly goes down while the wind velocity nearby the center suddenly becomes strong.

In the third stage is called ''the golden age" forms and reaches it is the strongest. A typhoon goes northward, and the wind velocity grandually becomes weak. However, whirl levels will expand.

Fourth is the depression term where in a typhoon will change into the tropical depression and the extratropical where a typhoon cyclone while it reaches nearby Japan where the water tmperature of sea is lower than tropical zone.

It a typhoon will there into an extrotropical cyclone when the cold wind from the north affects it. By that time, the wind velocity already passed the peak nearby the low pressure area. But whirlwinds will expand, so disaster strikes in places which are far from the center of low pressure. On the other hard, a typhoon decays and changes the tropical depression. In that case, the maximum wind velocity becomes under 17m/s, that is why sometimes it rains heavily. Be careful about it! typhoons, which approach Japan, mainly are in the golden age and the depression term.
